ESTRO Teaching Course

SASCRO is pleased to announce that the European Society of Therapeutic Radiation and Oncology (ESTRO) will be holding an International Teaching Course in Cape Town in 2010. It has become conventional to host a Teaching Course alternating with the National Congress - there will be no SASCRO/SASMO Congress in 2010.

This is a tremendous opportunity for the whole SA Oncological community. The registration fees will be one third of the price overseas, apart from travel and accommodation costs overseas. Space is also limited so it is then also often difficult to get into the Overseas Courses.

The 5 day course will cover a wide range of subjects, including, Radiobiology, Statistics, Imaging, Target volumes and Accuracy. The treatment of cancers of the major organs will be discussed with Radiation and Combined Modality Therapy e.g. Gastrointestinal Tract, Head and Neck, Urology, Gynaecology, and Breast.
